Exmoor 4x4 Jaunt & Challenge!

Friday, 19 March 2010 saw over 20 vehicles arrive at Wheddon Cross to take part in the Exmoor 4x4 Jaunt or Challenge. Participants navigated the routes in teams of 3 vehicles with the minimum of one driver and one navigator per vehicle. Some vehicles were filled with spectators and a fantastic time was had by all!

 

Organised by Spoon Challenges in aid of Wooden Spoon, rugby’s charity supporting mentally, physically, and socially disadvantaged children and young people, this unique event is set in the glorious Exmoor countryside and consists of the Jaunt and the Challenge.  Special off-road sections of Exmoor National Park are used and teams consist of three vehicles, to share navigation and achievement. 

 

The event consists of a fun-packed weekend including an evening meal on the Friday, Lunch and dinner on the Saturday and then lunch and farewell afternoon tea on the Sunday. Challengers are asked to book their own accommodation, for a list of local hotels, B&B’s and cottages please click here.
