12th Exmoor 4x4 Jaunt & Challenge
27th – 28th – 29th March 2009
Organised by the Wooden Spoon, rugby’s charity supporting mentally, physically, and socially disadvantaged children and young people, this unique event is set in the glorious Exmoor countryside and consists of the Jaunt and the Challenge.
Special off-road sections of Exmoor National Park are used and teams consist of three vehicles, to share navigation and achievement.
- The Jaunt has a variety of off-road sections of varying difficulty. It is suitable for families, all skill ranges and most types of 4 x 4. Children in road legal seats with seat belts are welcome.
- The Challenge is more demanding than the Jaunt. Reasonable skills and a suitable vehicle are necessary. Challenge teams will need at least one winch per team.
The event is non-competitive, so normal vehicle insurance provides cover. However we request that you notify your vehicle insurer. The event has Public Liability Insurance and all off-road sections have the landowner’s permission.
Registration: £50 per person, £25 per child under 12 years.
Sponsorship: (Gift Aid Forms) minimum of £200 per vehicle.
Meals are provided Friday and Saturday evening, Saturday and Sunday lunch and a cream tea on Sunday afternoon.
